REGISTRATION
Are refunds available?
Your race entry fee is non-refundable and bib numbers are not transferable to other runners or years. There are no exceptions.
Can I transfer my registration to another runner or year?
No, your registration, number and timing tag are non-transferable. There are no exceptions.
If I have already registered for a race, can I transfer my registration to a different race distance this year?
If you have already registered and would like to change to a different race distance, please email us at info@runtostaywarm.com.
Are race shirts included in the registration fee?
Participants in all 3 race distances receive a beanie. There will be limited shirts available for purchase on Saturday at Bib Pick-Up and Sunday in the plaza.
What happens if I am unable to participate but want my beanie?
You are welcome to pick up your bib and beanie during pick-up times. We are unable to mail packets. If you are injured but can still walk or jog, you may want to switch your registration to a shorter distance. See above for details on transferring to a different race distance.
PACKET PICK-UP
Is it mandatory to pick-up my race bib?
Yes. If you do not pick-up your bib, you will not be able to run the race. Bibs are required to participate. Bibs and beanies will not be mailed.
What do I need to pick-up my bib?
Participants must bring a copy of their confirmation email with the QR code (black square to be scanned) to pick-up their bib. We will also email the QR code two additional times before/during race weekend. Bring either a printed copy of the email or the ability to show the email from your smart phone. Can a friend pick-up my race packet on my behalf?
Yes. Friends may pick-up your bib for you, but they must have your confirmation email with the QR code to do so.
When and where can I pick-up my race bib?
Pick-up is available on Saturday, November 23 from 10:00 am -1:00 pm and Sunday, November, 24 from 7:30 - 8:45 am (near the start line). We encourage participants to pick-up on Saturday to avoid potential lines on race morning.
RACE INFORMATION
Can walkers register for the Half Marathon, 10K or 5k?
Walkers are welcome in the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K races. Courses are open for 3.5 hours to accommodate participants that are keeping a pace of approximately 16:00 minutes per mile.
Are wheelchairs allowed on the course?
Yes. If you will be participating in a wheelchair, please email us before you register at info@runtostaywarm.com.
Will there be a bag check area?
Yes. There will be a bag check area available for runners to store belongings while out on the course. Run to Stay Warm will NOT provide bags, so plan to bring your own. We recommend leaving any items of value at home during the race. Run to Stay Warm is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items.
Where should I park? How do I get there?
We will publish a race day map on the Race Info page a few weeks before the event for suggestions on where to park and how to get to the Start/Finish area.
Are ipods or headphones allowed on the course?
iPods, walkmans and other earpiece music devices are allowed on the course. If you choose to wear one, please be extra cautious and mindful of the volume of your music and your presence on the course.
Are baby strollers allowed on the course?
Yes, but please start at the back of the pack and be cautious.
Are dogs allowed on the course?
No, animals are not allowed on the course.
Will there be portable restrooms on the course?
Yes, there will be portable restrooms located at the start, finish and along the course.
Is wearing the timing Tag mandatory?
Yes, your timing tag (attached to your bib) allows for official times to be recorded and accurate calculation of placement.
Do I need to complete the course by a specific time?
Yes, the courses is open for participants to keep a pace of approximately 16:00 minutes per mile.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
I'm coming from out of town and need somewhere to stay overnight. Where would I find lodging information?
Eugene, Cascades & Coast is an excellent resource for guests coming from out of town.
What parking and alternative transportation options are available?
Limited parking is available at 500 E. 4th Ave., City of Eugene parking is free on Sundays, or alternative transportation:
Bike - There are more than 50 bike spaces at 500 E. 4th Ave.
Carpool - GetThereOregon.com Click on “Events,” find "Run to Stay Warm," and look for other riders
Bus - Plan your ride with LTD. Routes are available that drop passengers on the East side of High Street, just west of 4th.
